Dr. Eng. Andrzej Kowal was born in 1966, he graduated from Cracow University of Technology - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Specialization: Boilers and Energy Equipment. In 2011 he was awarded a PhD in technical sciences by the Cracow University of Technology.

His doctorate's thesis subject was:
"Method of measuring the local heat load of boiler furnace chamber walls"

From 1989 to 2001 Andrzej Kowal was working in the design office of SEFAKO SA. Since 2002 he runs his own business, and since October 2010 he is also an employee of the Department of Power Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Cracow University of Technology.
